BIBLIO 2011 Conference, Brasov, 2-4 June, 2011

Innovation within Libraries

The 9^th edition of BIBLIO 2011 Conference, organized by Transilvania University Library of Brasov and George Baritiu Public Library of Brasov, together with the Association of the Librarians from Romania, under the auspices of the Romanian Academy, will be held during the 2-4 June 2011.

BIBLIO 2011 Conference will be hosted in the generous and welcoming amphiteatre Aula Universitatii of Transilvania University, located in the beautiful city of Brasov, 41 A Iuliu Maniu Str., 500091, Brasov, Romania.

The goal of BIBLIO 2011 Conference is to offer the professionals in library and information sciences, an adequate environment for sharing knowledge and for disseminating innovative ideas and projects, having in view the requirements of building and strengthening all aspects within informational society, e existence of state-of-art technologies, the care for environment and human being to the purpose of sustainable development and th.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Knowledge governance – Library legislation
• Innovative framework in university and public library development
• Knowledge and library management
• Challenges as regards applying information technologies in libraries
• Library resources development
• Collection enhancement and conservation
• Education and research in university and public library

Important dates

Submission of short abstracts for the conference papers: Open

Submission of full conference papers: 1^st of February, 2011

Notification of acceptance of the conference papers: 15^th of March, 2011

Camera ready conference papers: 10^th of May, 2011

The authors of innovative papers are invited to submit their manuscripts. The official languages of BIBLIO2011 Conference are English and French.
