• All the users having the library access card up-dated into the library database has got free access in the reading rooms; for consulting the publications belonging to this department also the Identity Card is necessary
• The readers can ask for max 3 publications, between 9:00 – 14:30 hrs and other 3 between 14:30 – 20:00 hrs. Using the reading rooms imply to respect the Regulations of Function and Organisation of the department that is part of the Library Regulation
• The publications can be consulted only in the reading room; the users can copy the needed pages at the copy machine from the 1st floor

• The Reading Room Department is placed at the 1st floor of the library main building, situated on 35 Eroilor Boulevard
• Consists of 4 reading rooms, having a capacity of 160 seats
• Its collections consist in over 280,000 volumes
• Offers to the users the possibility to consult any publication from the general main depository
• Offers the interlibrary loans service, when the publication is not in the public library collection
• The students in their last study year can reserve books
• Twice a month, over 200 new titles completes the collections of the department

• Dictionaries: bilingual, explanatory, encyclopaedic, orthographic, thematic, of synonyms, antonyms, paronyms, neologisms, epithets etc.
• Encyclopaedias in foreign languages: „Encyclopaedia Britannica”, „Encyclopaedia Universalis”, „Encyclopaedia Americana”, „Oxford Illustrated Encyclopaedia”
• „The Everyman’s Library” Collection containing the works of the classic authors
• Thematic Atlases such as „Atlas of the World”, „Britannica Atlas” etc.
